October 8 - The Flying Deuces , 1939 - Oliver is heartbroken when he finds that Georgette, the inkeeper's daughter he's fallen in love with, is already married to dashing Foreign Legion officer Francois. To forget her, he joins the Legion, taking Stanley with him.

October 15 - Mr. Robinson Crusoe, 1932 - Yachtsman Steve Drexel bets his friends that he can swim ashore on a remote south-seas island with nothing but a toothbrush and be 'living the life of Riley' when they return.

October 22 - Road To Happiness, 1942 - Jeff Carter (John Boles), a singer down on his luck, turns to radio acting as a means of supporting his young son Danny (Billy Lee.) With the support of his son and his press agent Charley Grady (Roscoe Karns), Jeff ultimately finds radio the means of realizing his professional ambition.

October 29 - Happy Go Lovely, 1951 - B.G. Bruno, a rich bachelor, the head of a successful greeting-card company in Scotland, is essentially a kind man but respectable to the point of stodginess and extreme stuffiness.
