Anatomy of DisinformationNegative forces shield us from the greater reality about many things. Nowhere is this more evident than with the UFO field.
Disinformation is part of the Disclosure Process.
Misinformation: Totally false. Most of it comes from within the UFO
Disinformation: A Mixture of true and false information. The objective is
that what is true, and better yet verifiable, will lend credibility to the
Disinformation has a number of purposes, some of which apply directly to the
UFO subject. It can misdirect people away from sensitive programs,
locations, accurate information and conclusions. It can tag information.
This can be used to find out who is communicating. It can be used to uncover
leaks. All of this has been done in relation to UFOs. What if someone
claimed certain information or source was legitimate because “they” are in
the know? They then repeat a dropping of disinformation that they now claim
is personal knowledge or experiance. The people who control the information
know they have someone who is bogus. You can also drop disinformation into
the lap of reporters or researchers. They then repeat this information to a
trusted source to verify. The disinformation aspect marks the information.
The CI people uncover your source. This has been done in relation to UFOs.
You can use disinformation on the inside in the same way to watch where it
surfaces, who talks about it, writes about it, files a FOIA request. You can
also plant disinformation on a researcher later to expose it as false in
order to discredit a larger body of research or derail a media project. The
most common reaction is to throw the baby out with the bath water at the
slightest hint the water may be tainted. A few will remain to defend the
muddied waters. The important aspect is that it controls information from
the originator who knows what is true or false. If you want to test public
reactions and acclimate people to certain ideas over time it works in a
Secrecy is not just kept by locking things up in vaults, SAPs, SCI, SSP, and
Top Secret compartmented Code Words. When sensitive leaks occur and you have
some plausable denial you don’t confirm information by locking people up.
You turn on the tap to drown them out and confuse the issue.
Most important, disinformation is not defined by what you believe, conclude,
support, and the other guy does not. Everyone must try to sift, verify, and
learn from mistakes. Part of the learning process is to understand that
disinformation can be used simply to stimulate what you are predisposed to
believe or conclude, even if this is based on little rational evidence or
thought process. Attention and open surveilance tactics only confirm in the
minds of targeted people that they are right about everything. All of this
has happened in relation to UFOs and there is no reason to conclude it does
Note on sources: All of the above is based on personal knowledge gained
directly from persons involved in the 80’s and early 90’s, open source
cases in both UFO and non-UFO related cases, and those who now retired from
the CI business who have had the good nature to give us a clue even when
most of us will not listen.
