Recently there has been some debate and a few lawsuits filed in response to the revelation that US telecoms such as AT&T have freely given customer information to the National Security Agency (NSA). However, such a violation of American’s privacy shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Phone records have long been made freely available to US govt. agencies as well as the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad through an Israeli company called Amdocs, which does the billing for most all US telephone and many cable TV companies.
The NSA has always had easy access to American’s phone records and the calls themselves. Since the late 70’s every phone call made anywhere in the US has been processed through a massive bank of computers and monitored for key words and tracked by who is making the call and to whom. Voice identification can be done when needed to identify those making and receiving a call. Until a few years ago only those calls deemed important were actually recorded. With advances in quantum computing it is safe to assume that all calls are now recorded and archived.
When you make a call, check your Email or surf the Internet your activities are being recorded and added to your record. If you engage in activity that indicates you are an open minded and free-thinking person you will be more closely monitored. If you indicate that you oppose the government or are seeking certain information you will be heavily monitored. If you start planning specific action against the powers that be it will be known and your efforts thwarted.
All of this monitoring has nothing to do with national security or fighting crime. The data isn’t used to make America a safer and better place. It is used to protect those who run the US and much of the world. By identifying threats before they emerge they can prevent the disclosure of information that might threaten their position.
Most American’s have nothing to be concerned about. They go about their lives secure in the delusion that they live in a democracy and that there will continue to be a ready supply of cheap fast food, affordable consumer goods from China, mindless TV, the same 200 top 40 songs, and cold beer. Most people have no desire to discover the truth about their government and therefore pose no threat to it.
The few who dare question the official version of events may want to question why the Telecom issue is even a current media issue. Why are such facts just now being known when it has been going on for decades?
Mass media is primarily a tool for social engineering. The news stories covered by American TV, radio, magazines and most newspapers are carefully controlled to prevent certain information from being leaked out. Any reporter that tries to cover something truly important which is not authorized will quickly find themselves without a job. If the Telecom story is being allowed there is a reason.
One clue may be a recent story in the Denver Post entitled “Qwest Privacy Stand Admirable” which states “Qwest and its former chief executive Joseph Nacchio are being hailed as heroes for resisting the National Security Agency’s request for private telephone records of its customers.”
The reality is that Qwest is nothing more than a front for the ruling criminal elite and their intelligence and military organizations. Qwest was brought into existence through a bizarre series of events led by Phillip Anshutz.
Anshutz was able to convert an inheritance of millions and turn it into Billions with the help of the ruling elite. In 1999, Fortune magazine compared him to the nineteenth-century tycoon J.P. Morgan, as both men “struck it rich in a fundamentally different way: they operated across an astounding array of industries, mastering and reshaping entire economic landscapes.” In its September 2, 2002 issue, Fortune named him the nation’s “greediest executive.”
Anshutz was able to buy vast tracks of land, exploit the oil & gas on the lands, sell shares to Mobil for $500 million and obtain controlling stakes in most of the railroads serving the western US. Within the railroad right of ways he put in thousands of miles of fiber optic cable at ultra-low cost. He then bought a small long distance carrier and obtained control of the incumbent telecom US West and emerged as Qwest and in control of the telecommunications of 14 states. In each deal he has come out vastly richer and in each deal he has managed avoid criminal prosecution for the gross accounting irregularities and insider trading that went on.
As a devout Republican who donates hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Party coffers, he remains a dominant force in the West and immune from prosecution.
Qwest’s true nature can be easily gauged by its actions. One company’s experience shows how deep Qwest’s alliance is to the intelligence community.
A small video production company in Colorado was invited to video tape the first annual remote viewing conference being put on by several former government intelligence officers who had been involved in the military’s secret psyshic spying program. .
The first sign of trouble was during the conference when unusual electro-magnetic interference created problems with recording audio and video. The crew also found that their belongings in their hotel room had been gone through while they were out of the room.
Upon returning to their office in Colorado the company was targeted so heavily by electronic weapons and computer viruses that they had to literally abandon their office. Employees were harassed by phone at home and followed. They rented a new office but quickly found that their incoming calls were being intercepted by someone else posing as them. Outgoing calls to Qwest to complain were taken by people who only pretended to work for Qwest. The company’s Fax line was forwarded to their voice lines and when their voice lines were not being answered by the bogus employees it was forwarded to a bizarre voice mail system that was inaccessible to the company.
It was apparent that the highjacking of the phone system was being done by Qwest on behalf of the intelligence community who didn’t want the recordings of the conference, as poor quality as they were, distributed. Calls to the FBI resulted in a visit by two idiot Agents who proudly claimed that they only investigated such cases when very large companies were affected that might lose millions of dollars and that their local office didn’t even have Email service and so they were unqualified to investigate anything having to do with computers or telecommunications.
Personal visits to the local Qwest office resulted in a secretive ‘internal security investigation’ which consisted of absolutely nothing and which revealed that the video company was “not really having any problems”. When the local City police started an investigation the telephone problems caused by Qwest stopped.
After the local police investigation (which never actually investigated anything) stopped the Qwest problems, the video company started receiving bogus phone bills for thousands of dollars from MCI, Qwest and AT&T for non-existent service. AT&T even managed to sue the company without their knowledge and claimed to get a judgement – even the company never had any AT&T service and no phone bills or invoices were ever produced. An attempt to switch to the only available alternate phone company, McLeod, was unsuccessful as McLeod could never get around to actually switching the phone service and tried to impose previously undisclosed fees of thousands of dollars for unexplained services.
In addition to phone problems the new building was also subjected to electronic harassment. A call to the local power company brought out a technician who admitted that the building had a very high electromagnetic field passing through it but that it was harmless, even if it was several times higher than it should have been.
After an adjoing building was occupied by a mysterious new age organization calling itself “The Angels of the Magi” the video company’s employees started exhibiting increasing odd behavior. On one side of the video company’s building was the ‘Magi’ office and other side the ‘Magi’ had parked a bus. Complaints about the bus to the landlord caused its removal but it was immediately replaced by a seemingly abandoned car. When requests were made to have the car moved were continually ignored arrangements were made to have the car ‘stolen’. Once the ‘abandoned’ car was found to be missing the ‘Magi’ become hysterical and repeatedly demanded to know where the car was. Once the car was gone the electronic harassment was lessened. The Magi never occupied their office yet the lights were always on in their office and the air conditioning was always on full blast. One could feel cold air coming from around their door and the door was cold to the touch on even the hottest days.
Eventually the videos from the conference were distributed and a second conference was even recorded, but, the video company ultimately went out of business and its principals were forced to move to another country to end the harrassment from US telecoms and govt.
Given all the facts it is possible that current revelations about AT&T giving customer info. to the NSA is merely a ploy to weaken the company because it is no longer cooperative with the powers that be or there is further consolidation planned between Qwest and some other telecoms. Perhaps Qwest represents a rival group of Billionaires who want to expand their empire and want to reduce the stock price of their competitors accused of collaborating with the NSA. The whole story begs further investigation and critical thought.
