Vegan Girl Challenges Corpse-EaterAn 11 year old vegan girl has challenged a corporate liar posing as a teacher, who says meat is an essential part of a healthy diet, to a triathlon. Many top athletes are vegan, which totally invalidates the idea that meat is necessary in the human diet.
An 11 year-old vegan girl in New Zealand has refuted the lies of a visiting ‘teacher’ who is promoting meat-eating and challenged him to a triathlon to prove her point that meat is in no way required for a healthy human body.
Ella Soryl has been a vegan all her life and was angered by the blatant lies of Robert Pickard. Pickard works for the “British Nutrition Foundation” and was paid to spread his dangerous lies by the Council for Foods of Animal Origin, an industry marketing organization for producers of milk, eggs, and other products made from the corpses of animals, fish and birds.
Pickard tours posing as a teacher spouting a message that vegetarian, vegan and low-meat diets are unnatural. In reality Pickard is nothing more than a paid liar on a marketing campaign disgustingly disguised as a teaching program.
Ella was first in her age group in her school triathlon and is living proof that Pickard is a liar. Many other leading athletes around the world are vegan.
“I don’t think it’s true. I think he’s just saying that because he’s been paid to say it by the meat industry,” she said. “What he said was really silly.”
Pickard’s words cause real harm at a time when obesity is epidemic and consumption of animal products is the leading cause of premature death in developed countries. Consuming animal products causes heart disease, cancer and diabetes. A healthy vegan diet consisting of fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes and grains contains all the nutrition a human body needs and eliminates 95% of human disease.
A vegan diet is also much better for the environment. It takes up to 12 pounds of grain to make one pound of hamburger. The leading cause of rain forest destruction is the growing of soy to feed cows and chickens. The leading cause of global warming is the meat industry – which has caused massive deforestation and uses enormous amounts of oil. Methane from animals is the leading contributor of a green house gas 22 times more potent than carbon dioxide. It takes about 284 gallons of oil to produce a cow. Eating one pound of hamburger does the same damage as driving your car for more than three weeks.
It is high time to get corporate liars out of schools and stop brainwashing children into being mindless consumers like so many adults. Timo Nadudvari
