US Tortured & Killed Detainees in Mosul AlsoA U.S. officer investigating abuse in Iraq concluded that Iraqi prisoners were "systematically and intentionally mistreated" at a military base in Mosul.
Newly released U.S. Army documents indicate American abuse of detainees in Iraq was more widespread than previously reported.
Documents obtained Friday by the American Civil Liberties Union indicate that a U.S. investigating officer concluded that detainees were being “systematically and intentionally mistreated” at a U.S. Army holding facility in Mosul in late 2003. That was around the same as the prisoner abuse Abu Ghraib prison near Baghdad.
The ACLU says the 1200 pages of Army documents detail torture and abuse, including beatings, excessive physical exercise, loud music and the wearing of hoods. One prisoner died and another’s jaw was broken.
No one was punished because military investigators were unable to determine which guards were responsible

Those responsible are not any of the guards, they are the Bush administration, specifically Donald Rumsfeld and his criminal gang.
These documents clearly indicate two points:
1- The Abu Greib Scandal was just the tip of the iceberg: thousands of prisoners in US jails in Guantanemo, Afghanistan and Iraq are being tortured in the same systematic way. This torture is a clear violation of human rights, condemned even by the closest allies to the bush administration such as Britain and other EU countries.
2- The revealing of these new documents proves that the international press does not, and even cannot, report every case of abuse of human rights in Iraq and other occupied countries. There are other dozens if not hundreds of uncovered cases.
The Bush administration is nothing more than a brutal imperialist and occupying superpower that doesn’t recognize any international law during and after their illegal wars worldwide. The US citizens should stop this administration from violating more international laws, and ask the US government to be a part of international treaties (like the Rome Statute: http://www.un.org/law/icc/ ) to follow international law, and to think twice before abusing human rights in the world.
Bush, Rumsfeld, and the other gangsters should be indicted and tried in the International Criminal Court < http://www.icc-cpi.int/ >, but first they should be stopped and kicked out of office.
This new scandal should be enough to bring about rumsfeld’s downfall.
